What is AlZauj?
- AlZauj.com is an Islamic matrimonial website for Muslims seeking marriage (nikah). It is not a dating app. Members create a marriage profile, browse others, and send introductions that both sides must accept before a conversation opens.
Who is AlZauj for?
- Single, divorced and widowed Muslims aged 18 and over who are seeking nikah, including reverts, and the parents, guardians and Walis who help them. Families can create and manage a profile on behalf of a relative.
Is AlZauj free?
- Joining and browsing are free, and there is no subscription. Some actions use credits: listing a profile costs 100 credits (up to 5 profiles per account), an accepted introduction costs 100 credits from each member, and each message sent costs 1 credit. New members receive 500 welcome credits once, when their first profile is approved.
How do AlZauj credits work?
- Members receive 100 free credits every Monday (unused weekly credits expire the following Monday) and can earn 2 credits a day for logging in, up to 14 a week. Credit packs are priced in US dollars: 100 for $5, 250 for $11, 600 for $24 and 1,500 for $50. Purchased credits never expire and cannot be transferred or cashed out. Card payments open separately once enabled; browsing and Wali access stay free.
How are profiles verified?
- Every profile is reviewed by a person before it appears in search. Automated tools may help sort the queue, but approval decisions are made by human reviewers. Members can also complete additional verification steps shown on their profile.
How does AlZauj protect privacy?
- Photos can be kept private and blurred, and are shown only to members you approve. Phone numbers, emails and social handles are blocked in early messages. Exact locations are never shown to other members.
Can a Wali or family be involved?
- Yes. A member can link a Wali or family member, who gets read-only access to follow conversations. Introductions can involve family from the start, in keeping with the rishta tradition.
Which languages does AlZauj support?
- AlZauj is available in English. Arabic, Urdu, French, German, Spanish and Italian versions are being prepared and will be switched on after native-speaker review.
Is a Muslim marriage site halal?
- Scholars generally regard seeking a spouse through an intermediary as permissible when Islamic etiquette is kept: sincere intention, modest communication, no seclusion and family involvement. AlZauj is designed around these principles, with Wali access and introductions before conversation.
What is the best Muslim marriage site in the UK?
- The best site depends on what a family values. AlZauj is a UK-founded option that is free to join, reviews every profile by hand, supports Wali and family involvement, and uses credits instead of subscriptions. We encourage families to compare safety, privacy and family features before choosing.
